Obituary of Delsie Alta Tucker

Delsie Alta Tucker, 102, of Gatewood departed this life Monday, September 16, 2019. She was born February 15, 1917 in Tucker, MO to the late Rufe and Rosie Lacey McCamey.

Mrs. Tucker was self-employed at their family store, The Tucker Brothers’ Store, in Tucker. She was a member of the Tucker Methodist Church.

On October 18, 1937, Delsie married Will Tucker in Tucker. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2009.

Surviving are her three sons, Raymond (Alisa), Curtis (Janice), and Cleatus (Rose Engelken) Tucker; and her brother, Ed McCamey of San Bernandino, CA. Also surviving are her five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by five siblings and one great-granddaughter, Skye Lynn Smith.

Visitation for Delsie will be Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 12:00 p.m.in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Brother Alan Wilson will be officiating. Burial will be in the Tucker Cemetery.
