Obituary of Olga Louise Bowman

Olga Louise Bowman, 77-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life July 9, 2019 at her residence in Doniphan. Olga was born July 23, 1941 in Calm to the late Lawrence and Elma Louise Mills Patterson.

Mrs. Bowman loved to dance, enjoyed flowers and horticulture, and butterflies and cardinals. She was an avid Republican. Olga loved to have conversations with her many friend, neighbors, and acquaintances. Another favorite of Olga’s was enjoying a Pepsi with peanuts. Mrs. Bowman worked in bookkeeping and finance. The Bowmans had Bowman Grocery, which included home delivery.

On June 10, 1961 Olga married Charles Bowman at the Doniphan Church of God. He preceded her in death on June 11, 2015.

Surviving are her daughters, Susan Skaggs of Doniphan and Brenda (Curt) Bowman Shackelford of Waterloo, IL,; six grandchildren, Amanda, Daniel and Kaitlin Shackelford and Trent, Meagan, and Allison Skaggs; and great grandchildren, Emilee, Addilyn, Katie, and Zoey.

Visitation for Mrs. Bowman will be Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be Friday, July 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Larry Earl officiating. Both will be in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Towles Cemetery.
