Obituary of Pearl McNail

Pearl McNail Pearl McNail, 99, of Doniphan, died Thursday, July 12, 2007, at the Current Nursing Center in Doniphan. Mrs. McNail, daughter of the late Frank Griffin and Julie Melinda Masters Griffin, was born June 20, 1908, in Marble Hill, Missouri. She was a homemaker. On August 31, 1925, she was married to Hughie Calvin McNail at Kennett, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1983. She is survived by two sons, Hughie "Dink" McNail, Jr. of Hallsville, Jimmy Lynn McNail of Jefferson City; two daughters, Barbara Stair of Hartford, Michigan, and Betty Lou Mahaffey of Benton; three brothers, Oley Glenn Griffin of Fairdealing, Frank (J.R.) Griffin, of Traver, California, and Harry Griffin of Fowler, California; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 29 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. McNail was also preceded in death by one son, Billy McNail, two brothers, Barney Griffin and L.B. Griffin and two sisters, Grace Jones and Anne Baxter. Visitation will begin Saturday, July 14, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Doniphan City Cemetery.
