Obituary of Kay Dilbeck

Please share a memory of Kay to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Kathryn Kay Dilbeck, 73, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life on Saturday, April 13th at her home in Doniphan, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Dilbeck was a lifetime resident of Doniphan as well as a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Doniphan.  She retired from Vitronic in 1993, after being employed for 20 years, to enjoy spending time with her newly born grandson Hunter (who was the apple of her eye!).  While she enjoyed her employment outside the home, her chosen and most favorite career was being a wife, mother and grandmother, which she took great pride in and thoroughly enjoyed.

Mrs. Dilbeck enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, eating out, driving, her independence, flower gardening (especially her African Violets), watching the St. Louis Cardinals, and keeping up with current events.

Mrs. Dilbeck was married to David Dilbeck on March 21, 1963 in Doniphan, he preceded her in death on October 7, 2005.  They had three sons Brian (Donna) Dilbeck, Terry Dilbeck, and Kevin (Edie) Dilbeck all of Doniphan, one grandson Hunter Dilbeck of Jonesboro, AR, and a very special friend and dedicated caregiver, Ashlee March of Doniphan.

Mrs. Dilbeck is the daughter of the late Walter and Ethel Klenn.  She was also preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Hubert Baker.

Mrs. Dilbeck’s visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Monday, April 15th with funeral services to be held on Tuesday, April 16th beginning at 10am all at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan, MO with the Dr. Bruce Johnston officiating. Burial will be at the Doniphan City Cemetery.  Pallbearer serving Keith Elliot, Jay Farmer, Steve Inman, Gaylon Justus, Craig Ponder, Jimmy “Bobo” Rickus, Drew Short, Gerald Taylor, and Levi Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church 209 Locust St., Doniphan, MO  63935 or to the Doniphan Public Library 205 Locust St., Doniphan, MO  63935.
