Obituary of James Thomas McClain

James Thomas McClain of Fairdealing, MO went home to be with his Lord on February 16, 2019 at 3:05 AM at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.  He was born in Chicago, IL on April 21, 1960 and lived in Elgin, IL until he moved to Fairdealing in December of 2006.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, James L. McClain, in 2004, and by grandparents Tom and Beatrice Pennington, and several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

 

He loved reading old car magazines and had a huge collection.  He also loved reading anything about history, on TV or in books.  He attended church at Westwood Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, MO.

 

He is survived by his mother, Phyllis (Pennington) McClain, and a sister, Dawn McClain.

 

Visitation will be at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan, MO at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, with Pastor Steve Proctor officiating.  Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Fairdealing, MO.

 

The family requests memorial donations to be made to the Westwood Baptist Church building fund.
