Rita Joyce Hilton, 54, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mrs. Hilton, daughter of Victor and Virginia (Parish) Chaligoj, was born September 1, 1957, in Doniphan. She was a factory worker at Vitronics Manufacturing. Mrs. Hilton enjoyed hunting and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Good Hope Church.
She was married to Bob Hilton on December 10, 1989, in Grandin, Missouri, and he survives.
Also surviving are three children; Jason (and Joni Evans) Chaligoj of Doniphan, Vicki (and Jeff) Bryant of Benton, Missouri, and Carey (and Eric) Hurt of Naylor, Missouri; two brothers, Paul (and Laura) Chaligoj and Joe (and Karen) Chaligoj, both of Doniphan; and five grandchildren, Dominic Chaligoj, Hunter Bryant, Callie Bryant, Mason Schrimsher and Makenna Hurt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Virginia Chaligoj.
Visitation for Mrs. Hilton will be Thursday evening, October 13, 2011, from 5 - 8 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will take place Friday morning, October 14, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery.
