Obituary of John D. Stilwell

John D Stilwell, 63, of Jefferson City, Missouri, died Thursday, June 28, 2018, at his home in Jefferson City.

Mr. Stilwell, son of the late Charles and Kathyren Stilwell (Miller), was born December 17, 1954, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  Being the child of a military family, John traveled to many states and countries, world-wide during his youth.  John graduated from Hickman High School in 1973 and from the University of Missouri 1978 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, both in Columbia, Missouri.  John married Carol Gorham in Braymer, Missouri on May 15, 1976.

John worked as Electrical Engineer for General Electric (Binghamton, NY) and Sundstrand (Rockford, IL) until he became disabled.

John enjoyed working on his 1967 Camaro and on home improvement projects throughout his life.

Surviving are one sister, Shirley Dintelman of Spring Bluff, Missouri, one brother, James (Jane) Stilwell of Doniphan, Missouri, two daughters; Kristen (Bryan) Wildt of Michigan, and Amy (Charles) Williamson of Indiana, one son Michael (Amber) Stilwell of Colorado, and 6 Grandchildren, Blake, Charles III, Ina Mae, Lilia, Kieran, Kayden

Graveside Services will be at 12:30 Saturday, October 27, 2018, at the Oak Ridge Cemetery, Doniphan, Missouri, Brother Bob Featherston officiating.

A private Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Coffee and More at the Bank, 134 Washington, Doniphan, Missouri.
