Obituary of Dustin Jerad Reeves

            Dustin Jerad Reeves, 34, lifelong resident of Gatewood, Missouri went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday September 4, 2018 at the Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis, Tennessee.

            Dustin, son of Jerry and Kathy (Patterson) Reeves, was born June 28, 1984 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was a 2003 graduate of Couch High School. On September 4, 2004 he married Tasha Combs at Doniphan, Missouri and she survives. Also surviving are two children, Macy Lynna and Macoy Tate Reeves of Gatewood; his parents, Jerry and Kathy Reeves of Gatewood; a sister, Katie (and Jimmy) Cobb of Doniphan; a brother-in-law, Adam (and Amy) Combs of Clever; a brother, Jeff Darnell of Lexington, TN; two nephews, Lane and Dalton Cobb of Doniphan; two nieces, Addilyn and Aliyah Combs of Clever; and a whole lotta friends and family.

            He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd and Lottie Reeves, and Lawrence and Mae Patterson.

            Dustin was employed by Armstrong Cattle and Poultry. He enjoyed life. Some of his hobbies included fishing, hunting and dirt-roading. He had a passion for helping others. You may have seen him on the road changing tires, fixing tractors or lawnmowers….anything to help a friend. He served on the Gatewood Fire Department, the Gatewood School Board and the Ripley County Fair Board. He was a member of the Ponder Church of Christ.

            Dustin was one of the most giving people to all his family and friends. He loved teaching his children and nephews how to fix things, tear up things and maybe even drive a little fast. His devotion to his family was unmatched. He will be remembered by his big heart and his big smile.

          Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan, MO with Bro. Jared Baker officiating.  Visiting will be Friday evening, September 7, 2018 from 5-8 PM.  Burial will be in the Tucker Cemetery.
