Obituary of Ronnie Edward Crumley
Ronnie Edward Crumley was born September 13 1952 in Hayti, MO, to Willene and Ed Crumley and departed this life September 2, 2018 at his residence.
He has one sister Kathey (Marvin, Melanie & Jamie)Martin & one brother Michael (Ramona, Josh & Laura) Crumley all surviving.
He was of the Assembly of God faith.
In 1960, the Crumley family moved to Naylor, MO where Ronnie grew up and went to school all of his life. After high school, Ronnie attended Three Rivers Community College and received a degree in Business Administration. Ronnie then joined the National Guard as a military policemen and was transferred to Augusta, GA.
On May 19th, 1973 he married the love of his life, Charlotte Jean Chaligoj in Oxly, MO. She survives of the home. Ronnie was best known as a long-time manager of local grocery stores in Doniphan, MO. On May 10, 1975, Ronnie and Charlotte had a son, Chad Crumley (Autumn Faries, Landon, Hunter, Tyler, Rachelle & Allison) and on November 9, 1982, a daughter Ashley Marie Oldham (Daniel, Makayla & Jacob). He lived and breathed every day of his life for his wife, children, and grand babies.
He always had a smile on his face and for anyone who knew him, a love in His heart for Music. He loved being with his family for Sunday dinners at his sister, Kathey’s house, and playing his guitar and singing Christian songs with his mom and sister on the front porch. He greeted his family with a kiss on the lips and a contagious smile. He loved his Diet Mountain Dew and loved the Lord.
His hobbies included yard selling, auctioneering and sitting on his front porch listening to Cardinals baseball.
All surviving family that he loved to spend time with are: Barbara & Dwight Hastings, Gene & Pam Swift, Richard (and the late Vickey) Rogers, and too many nieces and nephews that loved their crazy uncle Ronzo to list. He is preceded in death by his fishing buddy, Tony (Noma) Chaligoj.
Funeral services for Ron will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shane Hastings and Pastor Curtis True officiating. Visiting will begin at noon on Wednesday and burial will be in the Macedonia Cemetery.
