Please share a memory of Peggy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Peggy June Watkins, 74, of Doniphan, Missouri, went to be with the Lord Sunday, August 26, 2018, at 3:00 p.m.

Peggy was born June 13, 1944, at Success, Arkansas to Orbra and Lorene (Galemore) Williams.  They preceded her in death.  She was also predeceased by three brothers, Leon, Brooks and Orbra Williams, Jr.

On March 10, 1962, in Corning, Arkansas, she married the love of her life, Gary Wade Watkins and he survives.

Also surviving are three children:  Dwayne (and Colleen) Watkins, Pam (and Chuck) Coomer and David (and Julie) Watkins, all of Doniphan.  She was also the proud MawMaw to eight grandchildren:  Tyler Watkins, Taylor Watkins (Keisha), Lauren Watkins, Brian Coomer (Sarah), Amanda O’Neill (Keithie), Jaclyn Childers (Bryan), Hayden Watkins (Chasity) and Jolie Watkins; and ten great-grandchildren.

Peggy worked in banking for several years before joining her husband in the family insurance business in 2003.  Over the past 15 years she has made many close friends through her business.

Peggy enjoyed spending time with her family, working in the yard and riding her John Deere mower.  She especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch with Gary, her life-long love and best friend.  She faithfully attended Doniphan First Church of God and was a prayer warrior for her family and friends.

Peggy will be deeply missed by everyone that knew her.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, August 28, 2018, from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Doniphan Church of God.  The funeral service will take place Wednesday morning, August 29, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary with Pastor Larry Earl officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pope Chapel Cemetery.
