Obituary of Mary Virginia Pennington
On July 3, 2018, the world lost, and heaven gained, an amazing soul. Mary accepted people lovingly and unconditionally, she was full of life, witty, and had a great sense of humor.
Mary was born February 27, 1927 Success, Arkansas to Jones & Lavada Choate. She met her forever beloved ‘Johnny’ at a public dance in Doniphan, Missouri. It was love at first sight and they married on February 10, 1951. She spent most of her life as a loving and dedicated mother to three children while working for the United States postal service. Mary led a Christian life. She loved to bowl, quilt, play games with the family and take care of her dog, Buddy. She was a great story teller, enjoyed watching western movies, and was an avid Cardinals fan. Her door was always open and welcoming of family, friends, and those who needed an ear.
Mary will be greatly missed.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband John Pennington; son-in-law Elvin Klepzig; her parents; sister Jane McGraw; brother Charlie Choate and other relatives.
