Obituary of Sharon Lee Kennon

Sharon Lee Kennon, 71, of Maynard, Arkansas, died Saturday, May 12, 2018, at her residence.

rs. Kennon, daughter of the late Edwin Russell and Clarice (Lee) Knickerbocker, was born February 6, 1947, in Snowqualmie Falls, Washington.  She had been an elementary schoolteacher in the Doniphan R-1 School District in Doniphan, Missouri, primarily teaching 2nd grade.  Sharon loved her animals and enjoyed riding horses and quilting and she was of the Catholic faith.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

On June 18, 2008, she was married to John Kennon and he survives.

Also surviving are 2 daughters – Jennifer (and Matt) Morin of Doniphan and Amanda (Trae Allison) Dove of Olive Branch, Mississippi; 1 sister, Sue Eldridge of Pocahontas, Arkansas; and 3 grandchildren, Adrianna Morin, Cayden Morin and Blakely Allison.

A public visitation will be held Wednesday Evening, May 16, 2018, from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan.  A private burial will be held at a later date.
