Obituary of Betty Jones

Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Jones, 72, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, April 20, 2018, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

Ms. Jones, daughter of Harvey Wilson and Virginia Ann (James) Moore, was born March 15, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri..  She had been a cook.  Betty enjoyed  Betty Boop and playing with her grandchildren.

Surviving are 5 children:  Michael Jones and Jimmie Jones, both of Doniphan, Mitchell Jones Of DeSoto, Missouri, and Ginny Mae Jones Keirns and Jack Jones, both of Ridgeland, Mississippi; 1 sister, Jeanie Trombly of Doniphan; 1 brother, Darell Moore of Doniphan; and 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 daughter, Leona Gooch; 1 sister, Peggy Moore; 2 brothers, David Moore and Richard Moore and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan.  The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon.  Burial will be in Towles Cemetery in rural Doniphan.
