Charles D. Goins, 66, of Naylor, Missouri, died Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Goins, son of Luther Ottis and Delphia Maria (Jordan) Goins, was born March 21, 1945, in Peach Orchard, Missouri. He had been a machinist in the railroad industry. He had also worked at the L. A. Darling Plant in Corning, Arkansas, as a warehouse specialist for several years. Mr. Goins enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and was a member of the West Point United Pentecostal Church.
On May 15, 1965, he was married to Ozella Waller in St. Louis, Missouri. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Scott W. Goins of Wewahitchka, Florida; two daughters, Angela Donnell of Doniphan, Missouri, and Diana Mullins of Corning, Arkansas; three sisters, Carol Messmer of Florida, Linda Goins of Sikeston, Missouri, and Brenda Deaton of Perryville, Missouri; three brothers, Dennis Goins of Mississippi, Danny Goins of Bonne Terre, Missouri, and Ronnie Goins of O'Fallon, Missouri; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Miranda Donnell.
A memorial service will take place Saturday morning, October 1, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan with Brother Charles Carr officiating.
