To the family of Lloyd. I never knew Lloyd until approximately October 2016; however, since then he has been a bright and shining light every time I visited at the Colonial Home. Mr. Lloyd always had a great big smile on his face and you could see the LOVE of Christ deep into his heart. He is a great man and will be greatly missed! Praying for peace and comfort for all the family left behind! However, we will meet again some day! Keep smiling!

Jean, just wanted to reach out to you since we didn't get to visit at the funeral home. You did a wonderful job and described Lloyd so very well. He would have been so proud of you. But then again, he always was. He talked about you all the time and so did Wilma when she was with us. The pictures you had on the slideshow were just perfect. They showed his personality so well. I had a funny story that I don't know if I ever told you before, but I use to ride some with Lloyd and the Cardiac Cowboys (guess they allowed me a long since they might need a nurse! haha) We were going to ride at Hunter, Mo. and they told me we would eat lunch at the Kansas City Clubhouse. So we rode for a couple of hours then arrived at a beautiful spot over looking Current River. We all got off our horses for lunch and I asked where the restaurant was............well, they all erupted in laughter and said it had burned down several years ago. They didn't realize I didn't know that! Being the gentlemen they were, they all gave me a part of their lunch and we shared many a laugh about it thru the years. Gonna miss that Lloyd, still miss Wilma too, she had the most beautiful eyes and the sweetest personality!

Lloyd Ward or as we knew him, Junior, was probably my mom's favorite cousin, or very close to it! They were in the same class through Doniphan High School and two of the last to participate in their frequent class reunions. He also did a lot of trail riding with my dad in their later years. Very special man who always had a smile and warm greeting any time I saw him. Now he is rejoined with his beloved wife who I know he has missed terribly. My sincere condolences to the entire Ward family. A life well lived!

We are thinking about you as you say your goodbyes to your dad. What a wonderful life he has had! Lloyd was very proud of his family and I know was so happy every time he would come to Calif. to visit. He was such a wonderful, gentle man! Although you will miss him here, we have the blessed assurance that he is now with your mother and has a newly restored body in heaven. That is our comfort and peace! With our love, sympathy and prayers as you go through these difficult days, Gary and Cheryl
