Obituary of William "Bill" Benjamin Teasdale

William Benjamin “Bill” Teasdale, 80, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Mr. Teasdale was born October 25, 1937, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.  He had been the custodian for the Ripley County Courthouse and was also a Ripley County Deputy.  Bill enjoyed camping, horseback riding, home improvements, relaxing and working with the sheriff’s department.  Mr. Teasdale was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U. S. Army.

On April 15, 1989, he was married to Peggy Heetderks in Austin, Texas, and she survives.

Also surviving are 2 children:  Mike Teasdale of Buda, Texas, and Tracey (Dean) Teasdale Bailey of Austin, Texas; 2 brothers, Jerry Harris of Dickinson, Texas, and Jack (Margaret) Teasdale of Austin, Texas; and 2 grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by 1 brother, Wayne Teasdale.

Visitation will begin at noon Friday, December 22, 2017, at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother John Harwell officiating.
