Obituary of Mavis Lucille Riley Ingram
Mavis Lucille Riley Ingram, 84, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday, December 3, 2017, at her residence in rural Ripley County.
Mrs. Ingram, daughter of Walter C. and Lou (Cole) Hudson, was born October 22, 1933, in Warm Springs, Arkansas. She had been a housewife. Mrs. Ingram enjoyed sewing, quilting, fishing, singing, gospel music, animals, church, cooking and being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Ingram was a member of the Handy Church.
She was married to John Perry Riley and he preceded her in death on February 25, 1998. She later married James Ingram and he preceded her in death in September, 2012.
Surviving are 2 sons: Johnny Ray (Jan) Riley of Truckee, California, and Ronnie Lenn (Trish) Riley of Doniphan; 2 daughters, Letha Fay (Les) Carson of Harviell, Missouri, and Sharon Kay Christian of Doniphan; 2 sisters, Nelda Boyer and Melba Cook, both of Jonesboro, Arkansas; 2 brothers, Melvin Hudson of Batesville, Arkansas, and Doyle Hudson of Jonesboro, Arkansas;5 grandchildren, Johnathan Riley, Brandon Carson, Rex Christian, Jason Christian and Travis Christian; and great-grandchildren, Kamille Carson, Keaton Carson, Connor Christian, Austin Christian, Lucas Christian, Kassidy Brown, Adga Jones, Brittany Jones, Jayden Christian, Bryce Sipes, Brock Robinson and Pyper Christian.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Christine Hudson and Vella Carter; 1 brother, W. J. Hudson; and a son-in-law, Bob Christian.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning, December 8, 2017, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan and the funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Reverend Bob Featherston will officiate and burial will be in the New Home Cemetery.
