Obituary of Pansy York

 

Pansy York, 84, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at the Eagle Crest Nursing Center in Ash Flat, Arkansas.

Mrs. York, daughter of Henry and Ina Gertrude (Collins) High was born April 10, 1933, in Fairdealing, Missouri.  She had been a homemaker.  Mrs. York enjoyed sewing, reading, fishing, doing jigsaw puzzles and she especially liked working in her flowers.  She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

On December 26, 1952, she was married to Foy M. “Mickey” York at Pocahontas, Arkansas.  He preceded her in death on August 10, 2008.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Michael York; 1 sister and 1 brother.

Surviving are 3 children; Monty (Becky) York of Doniphan, Rick (Monya) York of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, and Edward (Debra) York of Farmington, Kentucky; 1 daughter-in-law, Cindy York of Georgia; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister and 2 brothers.

Visitation will begin at noon Sunday, October 29, 2017, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan.  The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Hubert Payne officiating.  Burial will be in the Doniphan City Cemetery.
