Obituary of Lloyd Gene Clanton

Lloyd Gene Clanton, 74, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, October 6, 2017, at his home in rural Doniphan.

Mr. Clanton, son of Harold and Clemie (Judd) Clanton, was born November 17, 1942, in Lake City, Arkansas.

He was self-employed in the pest control business and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was married to Alice Long on December 22, 1990, in Doniphan and she survives.

Also surviving are his children, Bamby (Jay) Miller and Luana Ayers, both of Farmington, Missouri, and Amy (Phillip) Haney and Canaan Clanton, both of Doniphan; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son, Donis Clanton; 1 grandson, Cody Rector; and 2 granddaughters, Emily Haney and Amber Miller.

A private service will be held at a later date.
