Obituary of Bessie "Teal" Cobb

Bessie Matilda “Teal” Cobb, 63, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Mrs. Cobb, daughter of Jesse Everton and Ruby Jewel (Goforth) Allen, was born July 20, 1954, in Ripley, Tennessee.  She had been a homemaker.  Mrs. Cobb enjoyed working with flowers, cooking, baking, playing computer games, shopping and above all, spoiling her grandchildren.  She was of the Baptist faith.

On March 23, 1976, she was married to Jimmy Lee Cobb, Sr. in Tunica, Mississippi.  He preceded her in death on April 20, 2006.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Edwin Walker Allen.

Surviving are 3 children:  Ruby S. James and Jimmy Cobb, Jr., both of Doniphan and Virginia Hinton of Wapappello, Missouri; 3 sisters, Betty Caroline Middleton of Hernando, Mississippi, Barbara Sue Duchac of Doniphan and Ann Ball of Greenfield, Indiana; 2 brothers, George Wesley Allen of Kingsport, Tennessee, and Jesse James Allen of Ripley, Tennessee; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

A private burial will be held at the Bloomfield Cemetery.
