Obituary of Annie Rebecca Drane

Annie Rebecca Drane, 87, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at her residence.

Mrs. Drane, daughter of Jesse and Ora Mae (Muse) Johnson, was born September 29, 1929, in Edgewood, Texas.  She had been an employee of Vitronic Manufacturing in Doniphan for 20 years.  Mrs. Drane enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and playing the guitar at her membership church, Twin Pines Pentecostal.  She was especially known for the delicious pies she baked for individuals throughout her community.

On April 25, 1952, she was married to Cecil Drane at Pocahontas, Arkansas.  He preceded her in death on October 5, 1988.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers and 1 sister.

Surviving are 3 daughters; Barbara (David) Watson of Paragould, Arkansas, and Debbie (Dennis) Cox and Karol (Wilbert) Smith, both of Doniphan; 1 sister, Nellie Wallace of Bardley, Missouri; 1 brother, J. W. Johnson of Bardley, Missouri; 9 grandchildren, Ben, Stephen, Christina, Karen, Katie, Amy, Erika, Chris and Daryl; and 19 great-grandchildren plus one due in September.

Visitation will take place Thursday evening, July 20, 2017, from 5 – 8 p.m. n the Edwards Funeral Home at Doniphan.  The funeral service will follow Friday morning, July 21, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Larry Earl officiating.  Burial will be in the Bardley Cemetery.
