Vivian Catherine Yarber, 93, of Doniphan, Missouri, departed this life Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at The Village of St. Peters, Missouri.
Mrs. Yarber, daughter of the late Walter and Roxie Pearl (Fagan) Smith, was born May 16, 1923, in Oregon County, Missouri. She had worked at Vitronic Manufacturing prior to retirement. Mrs.Yarber loved to cook, read, work puzzles and being on the farm, particularly watching the cattle.
She was married to Herman Augustus Yarber on August 23, 1939, and he preceded her in death on October 17, 1991.
She was also preceded in death by 1 son, Gary Edward Yarber; 1 great-grandson, Austin Moody; 1 sister, Virgie Bollenbacher; and 2 brothers, Bill Smith and Norman Smith.
Surviving are 1 daughter, Ann (and W. H.) Peters of St. Peters; 3 grandchildren, Keith (and Kathleen) Peters, Starr (and William) Germany and Robin (Terry) Moody; 7 great-grandchildren, Lisa, Maria, Melissa, Cole, Morgan, Jerrod and Ethan; and 1 great-great-granddaughter, Kinzley.
Visitation will begin at noon Saturday, March 25, 2017, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastors Larry Earl and Bob Featherston officiating. Burial will be in the Doniphan City Cemetery.
