Obituary of Jimmie Lee Branson, Sr.

Jimmie Lee Branson, Sr., 58, of Piedmont, Missouri, departed this life Friday, March 3, 2017, at his residence in rural Wayne County. Mr. Branson, son of Wilbert and Helen (Simmons) Branson, was born April 20, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a machinist in a saw shop. Mr. Branson enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family and was of the Baptist faith. He was an ardent St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Branson was a veteran of the U. S. Marines serving his country in Vietnam, and was a member of the Piedmont American Legion and helped with the Honor Guard. On March 26, 2007, he was married to Renee Davis at the New Hope Church in Ellsinore, Missouri, and she survives. Also surviving are 5 children: Jimmie Branson, Jr., Tanya Cave (Byron) of Imperial, Missouri, Tem McFadden (Annalee Davis) of Piedmont, Sarah Gunter (Clinton) of Ellsinore and Jodi McFadden of Mill Springs, Missouri; 4 sisters, Connie Beard of Park Hills, Missouri, Dawn Ellison of Silva, Missouri, Vicki Branson of Illinois, and Kathy Andreat of St. Louis, Missouri; 1 brother, Curt Branson of Fredricktown, Missouri; 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Kevin Branson. A private memorial is planned.
