Lawrence Albert MacMurray, Sr., 69, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Thursday, August 18, 2011, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Mr. MacMurray, son of Harvey Glenwood and Augusta (Schmulling) MacMurray, was born November 29, 1941, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He was self-employed in construction and railroad transportation. Mr. MacMurray enjoyed fishing and football and was of the Catholic faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 1958-1960 in Germany. On December 21, 1962, he was married to Irene Brice at Havery Memorial Church in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. She survives. Also surviving are three sons; Lawrence MacMurray, Jr. and Robert Glenwood (Melinda) MacMurray, both of Doniphan and Edwin Cary (Tammy) MacMurray of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one daughter, Irene Elizabeth (Dale) Hinkle of Doniphan; twelve grandchildren, Robert Dale (Kasey) Hinkle, Jr. of Texas, James Daniel Hinkle, Joseph Keith Hinkle, Robert Glenwood MacMurray, Jr., Wyatt Glen MacMurray, Skylar Irene MacMurray, Joseph MacMurray and Jazmine MacMurray, all of Doniphan, Jessica MacMurray of California, Nichole MacMurray of Arkansas and Chase MacMurray and Amellia MacMurray, both of Missouri; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Augusta MacMurray, and one grand-daughter, Irene Elizabeth Hinkle III. Visitation for Mr. MacMurray will begin at noon on Monday, August 22, 2011, at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Pope Chapel Cemetery near Currentvicw with Brother Charles Carr officiating.
