My heart aches for this huge loss to our community. Anita was such a wonderful woman and absolutely one of the best neighbors a girl could have growing up. She always had a pan of bread baking in the oven and welcomed all who showed up on her doorstep. I have such fond memories of her Christmas packages of bread, cinnamon rolls, canned goods and homemade peach brandy. Love you Anita and I send my condolences to all those that loved her too.

She showed me wisdom and insight. EVERY conversation I left feeling loved, needed, confident, learned to love myself and others, I had a guardian angel in my Grandma. One day I was down and in a bad place with bad people in my life. She comforted me with out judgement. Then she reminded me of Jesus at the well. And by choice he mingled with the lowest of society. She said I was supposed to be there in those times to help someone. She reminded me of my natural need to help and protect that most people wouldn't. She's taught me to remember that we were/are blessed with an amazing family and to spread those blessings to others. She was my guardian and the finest example of human being.

I am so very sorry for your great loss. From all that I heard, Mrs. Sisco, was a lovely woman. A very kind and caring person. Her children and grandchildren I know, especially Ruthie, Jake and Hannah, are living testimony to her. I am sure the same is true for those family members I do not know. I hope the loving sympathy of friends will surround and comfort you all. Hopefully as time passes you will find yourselves more able to remember and tell "grandma Sisco" stories with less pain and more joy of the memories, Remember that so long as we remember them, speak their names and tell their stories, our loved ones are never truly gone.
Sincerely,
Mari Sopko
