Obituary of Mildred Yarbrough

Mildred Yarbrough, 98 year old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the Current River Nursing Center. Mrs. Yarbrough was born March 30, 1918 in Poplar Bluff, MO to the late Charley and Myrtle Burgin.
She was a member of the Doniphan United Methodist Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and enjoyed canning, gardening, sewing, and dancing.
On May 26, 1935 she was married to Roy H. Marshall, who preceded her in death on September 1, 1963. She was also preceded in death by husbands, Albert “Jr.” Ederer, and Cleo Yarbrough; daughter Lillian Martin; sisters, Ruby and Marie Carpenter; brothers Clarence, Archie, Junior and Billy Burgin; Niece Glenda Carpenter; and grandson Mitchell Martin.
Surviving are 1 daughter, Virginia “Ginger” (Ray) Fairris of Doniphan; Grandchildren Debbie (Mike) Reichert; Cathy (John) Ferry; several great-grandchildren; 2 step-sons; 1 step-daughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Yarbrough will be held Wednesday evening, January4, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kent Wilfong officiating. Visiting will begin at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday. Burial will take place in the Valhalla Burial Park in Belleville, IL.
