Reba Jean Smith Blankenship, 78 year old resident of Doniphan, MO departed this life Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She was born September 28, 1938, in Ripley County, MO to the late John and Lena Shipp.
Reba had worked for many years as a cook in restaurants and enjoyed quilting, baking pies and cobblers, and loved helping with Toys for Tots. She was also a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Doniphan.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 1 son, Billy Lee Cude; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include 1 daughter, Margaret Nierman of Doniphan, MO; 1 son, Jim Trotter of Lonedell, MO; and grandchildren Nicholas, T.J., Jeramy, Jenifer, Shane, Lisa, Chad, Samantha, Mike, Stanley, and Matthew
Funeral services for Mrs. Blankenship will be held Monday, November 14, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Elston officiating. Visitation will begin at noon on Monday, and burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery.
