Billie Jean Wilson 85, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, died Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Mrs. Wilson, daughter of Bill and Nora (Black) Miller, was born July 29, 1931, in Hayti, Missouri. She had been a homemaker. Mrs. Wilson loved her church including the preaching and singing, gardening, reading her Bible and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church.
On November 19, 1949, she was married to Luther Wilson at Piggott, Arkansas, and he preceded in death.
Surviving are 5 children – Bruce Wilson and Rodney Wilson, both of Doniphan Missouri; Stella Griffin and Donna Roam, both of Grandin, Missouri, and Pauletta Matthews of Poplar Bluff; and 1 brother, Bill Miller, Jr. of Boron, California. She also leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many relatives nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sons, Lonnie Wilson and Danny Wilson.
A graveside service will take place Friday afternoon, November 11, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Grandin City Cemetery in Grandin, Missouri.
