Linda Kay Morris, 64, of Gatewood, Missouri, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016, at her residence in rural Ripley County, Missouri.
Mrs. Morris, daughter of William and Gertie (Shaw) Murdock, was born June 3, 1952, in Oroville, California. She had been a homemaker. Mrs. Morris was a member of the New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
On September 25, 1971, she was married to Gary Harold Morris at New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Gatewood. He survives.
Also surviving are 3 children; Kristy (Mike) Patterson of Doniphan, Melissa (Mike) Weist of Gatewood and Matthew (Rose) Morris of Lucedale, Mississippi; 2 sisters, Brenda Murdock of Cameron Park, California, and Carol Bardelmeier of Placerville, California; 2 brothers, Russell Murdock of Louisville, Kentucky and James Murdock of Jacksonville, Florida; and 14 grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning, November 5, 2016, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brothers Jared Baker and Kevin Bellinger officiating. Burial will be in the Johnston Chapel Cemetery.
