Eleanore Phelps, 76, long time resident of Grandin, Missouri, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at her residence, in Doniphan Missouri.
Mrs. Phelps, daughter of the late Joseph & Maudie (Self) Rapier, was born February 27, 1934, in Kankakee, Illinois. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Phelps was a member of Fairview General Baptist Church & of the Eastern Star.
She was married to Harold Phelps on October 14, 1951 in Paragould, AR. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1995.
Mrs. Phelps is survived by one daughter; Carolyn Gloyd of Doniphan, six sons; Kevin Phelps, Glen Phelps, and Harry Phelps all of Doniphan, Keith Phelps, Doug Phelps, and Phillip Phelps all of Grandin, two sisters Stella Harrington & Miggie Shannon and one brother Wayne Rapier, 23 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Mrs. Phelps was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters Cheryl Phelps & Glenda Phelps, three sons Steven Phelps, Joseph Phelps and Deryl Phelps, one brother Mick Rapier.
Visitation will begin Thursday from 5-8 pm at Edwards Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin 11:00 AM at Edwards Funeral Home with burial following at Good Hope Cemetery with Bro. Crowley officiating.
