James Eugene Burrow, 80, of Florissant, Missouri, died Friday, July 29, 2016, at St. Sophia Health and Rehab in Florissant.
Mr. Burrow, son of the late Carmie Isaac and Wilma Jean (Thompson) Burrow,was born Tuesday, October 15, 1935, in Neelyville, Missouri. He had been a beer brewer at Anheuser-Busch for 39 years. Mr. Burrow loved his country, having served as an MP in the United States Marines during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post 299 for 57 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching movies, eating out, visiting art museums and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
On March 7, 1964, he was married to Alma Smith. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters: Gina Burrow of Florissant and Rhonda Melton of High Ridge, Missouri; one son, Danny Burrow of Arcadia, Missouri; one half-sister, Rhonda Lee of St. James, Missouri; and 2 grandchildren, Danielle Melton and James Melton.
Visitation will begin at 12 PM Monday August 1, 2016, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 2 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Earl officiating. Burial will be in Doniphan City Cemetery in Doniphan with full military honors.
