Mr. Fagan you and Sue were some of the first people to become my friends when I moved here, I will never forget that first winter, ice and snow, you showed up with a few bales of hay, knowing I couldnt get out to get some. That kindness can never be forgotten. Rest now in peace. Carmen

So many stories ... we went to a rodeo and camped at the Big Spring National Park in VanBuren. Tied all the horses to spare tires and in the middle of the night they got spooked and tore through the entire park picking up and dragging everything that got in their way.
On the many trips from the St. Louis house to the Fair Dealing farm listening to the country station advertising "GooGoos. While I was suppose to be keeping him awake, I would doze off and he would let out the loudest "HEY" and I would almost jump out of the window!
Another time I was reading the road map and between the Illinois and Ohio Rivers we got lost. We stopped to turn around, jack-knifed the horse trailer, got straightened out, and saw a man fishing. We asked him directions once, then again and he acted like he didn't hear us. On the third time Lawrence yelled " What the --- damn hell is wrong with you ? Can't you hear?!!" Little did we know the man was getting a nibble!
I could go on and on. These stories have been told and re-told so many times and will continue to be - We love you Lawrence

My Uncle Lawrence was a awesome uncle
He had a LOT of influence on me in my younger life. He is the reason I took up a interest in electrical and welding field to be a maintenance man. I have a abundance memories with him from the time we went to the fireman rodeo and I received a sign autograph picture of Festus or all the times we went bird hunting with Duke his bird dog or all the times coon hunting with Mike his coon dog.
Try and watch Lonesome Dove and not think of Uncle Lawrence from the way Gus would always point with his hand and just about every action he did in that movie.
Uncle Lawrence projects that was close to his heart he did with no less than 100% from his dog pens to his horse barn. He was always working.
He had a skill of telling stories that make you laugh in till you cry. I remember the way he show a little kid that he was sticking his thumb up his nose they believed him in till they realized he only had a half of thumb. He also always wore a stetson and had a chew of tobacco.
There are so many awesome memories and stories with him.
Love You Uncle Lawrence your more than just a uncle to me.
Keith
