James Levile Morphis, 63, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Southeast Health Center of Ripley County.
Mr. Morphis, son of Johni and Nettie (Thompson) Williams, was born October 15, 1952, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was disabled and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
Surviving are 4 children: Debra (and Eric) Walker and Ronnie Brawner, both of Doniphan, Shanee Kiem of Florida and Jay Morphis of California;7 grandchildren, Cody Walker and Michael Walker, both of Doniphan, Mason Brawner of Fisk, Kaylene Pollock, Dylan Pollock, and Alex Vera all of Florida and Tyler Vera and Jose Vera, both of California; 1 great-grandchild, Jaysa AnnaLynn Morris; 2 siblings, Sybil Constable of Vacaville, California, and Terrie Zornes of Oklahoma; and 3 step-siblings Virginia Watkins, Richard Williams and Suezi Laneham of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Johnny Morphis and Michael Williams.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Monty Flanigan officiating.
