Obituary of William Edward Brown

William Edward (Bill) Brown, 82 year old resident of Doniphan, MO departed this life Friday, March 18, 2016 at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. Mr. Brown was born June 12, 1933 in Butler County, MO. He had served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was also a member of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. He loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, and working on cars. He was preceded in death by his father Bert Brown; his mother and step-father Dorothy Alma Vinson Page and Joseph Page; Sister Sandra Brown; and brother Kenneth L. Brown. On January 19, 1957, in Pocahontas, AR he was married to Mary Calvert, who survives. Also surviving are 3 sons, Richard Brown and his wife Linda Jo of Doniphan; Daniel Brown and his wife Tammy of Poplar Bluff; William D. Brown of Doniphan; 1 daughter Debra Pickens and her husband Eddie of West Plains, Mo; 2 sisters, Barbara Cato of Doniphan; Dottie Ormsby of Doniphan; 1 brother, Robert Eugene Brown of Naylor, MO; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins also survive. Funeral services for Bill Brown will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Ottis Jones and David Phillips officiating. Visiting will be Monday evening, March 21, 2016 from 5-8 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Tucker Cemetery.
