Obituary of Lillie Mae Howard

Lillie Mae Howard, 82, of Gatewood, Missouri, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Mrs. Howard, daughter of the late Herbert Sr & Myrtle Marie (Tharp) Dale, was born December 9, 1933, in Ripley County, MO. She had worked as a coordinator of South Central Community Action Agency. Mrs. Howard enjoyed playing rook, counting cows, and life on the farm. She was a member of the New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
On July 4, 1965, she was married to Jack Howard in Doniphan and he preceded her in death on November 30, 1983.
Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Herb Dale.
Surviving are one son, Chad Howard and wife Pam Howard of Gatewood; three grandchildren Amber Leonard and husband Rodney, Emily Buckner, and Justin Howard; three great-grandchildren Brooklyn Leonard, Remington Leonard, and Makynlee Hassing.
Visitation will be held Tuesday March 15 from 5-8 pm at Edwards Funeral Home, funeral services will be Wednesday March 16, 2016, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan with Brother Jared Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Johnston Chapel Cemetery.
