Peggy Joyce Morelan, 81, of Doniphan, Missouri, departed this life Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mrs. Morelan, daughter of the late Otis and Gladys (Lowe) Gosnell, was born June 30, 1934, in Granite City, Illinois. She had been owner of Bud’s Grocery. Mrs. Morelan enjoyed working with flowers, cooking and she especially liked being with her family.
On April 4, 1958, she was married to James Alfred “Bud” Morelan in Olivette, Missouri, and he preceded her in death on December 19, 2008.
Also preceding her in death are 1 son, Johnnie Morelan and 1 brother, Otis “Bud” Gosnell.
Surviving are 1 daughter, Joyce Hasheider of Doniphan; 1 daughter-in-law, Mary Morelan of Doniphan; 1 brother, Richard Gosnell of Granite City, Illinois; 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, March 10, 2016, from 5 – 8 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. Funeral services will be Friday morning, March 11, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral Home chapel with Richard Gosnell officiating. Burial will be in the Naylor Masonic Cemetery.
