Doris Jean Switzer, 62, of Doniphan, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mrs. Switzer, daughter of the late Leonard Elvie and Von (Surratt) Sherrod, was born January 11, 1954, in Caraway, Arkansas. She had worked in home health. Mrs. Switzer enjoyed playing on her iPad and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
On May 21, 1994, she was married to Gary V. Switzer in Doniphan and he survives.
Also surviving are 1 daughter, Stephanie Nichole Switzer of Doniphan; 1 sister, Linda Haney of Doniphan; and 1 brother, Larry Sherrod of Doniphan.
Visitation will be held Saturday morning, March 5, 2016, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel with Brother Kevin Crider officiating. Burial will be in the Hunt-White Cemetery.
