Olive Eileen (Stanley) Rogers, 97, of Doniphan, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at her residence.
Mrs. Rogers, daughter of the late J. T. and Bertie Ann (Johnson) Stanley, was born October 7, 1918, in the Pratt community of Ripley County, Missouri. She had retired as an elementary special education teacher with the Doniphan R-1 School District. Mrs. Rogers was a veteran of World War II having served with the WACs.
She was married to Robert B. Rogers, a paratrooper and war hero of World War II and he is buried in a national cemetery.
Mrs. Rogers was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Martha and Tommie.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Doniphan.
