Roy McArthur. “Mack” Hamlett, 72, of Holcomb, Missouri, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016, at his residence.
Mr. Hamlett, son of the late Alvie Deward and Tessie Gracie (Rhew) Hamlett, was born January 29, 1943, in Leachville, Arkansas. He enjoyed farming and raising chickens.
On September 8, 1973, he was married to Carolen Massey in Holcomb, Missouri, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are 4 children: Patty Lutts (Keith) of Waverly, Tennessee, Scott Hamlett (Jana) of Kennett, Missouri, and Penny Scott and Brad Hamlett (Alison McNew), both of Gatewood, Missouri; 2 sisters, Shirley Young of Fairdealing, Missouri, and Shelby Crouch (Wayne) of Kennett; 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 grandchild, 1 brother-in-law, Garfield Young, and 1 nephew.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, January 12, 2016, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Clay Garvin officiating. Burial will be in the Warm Springs Cemetery.
