Juanita Marie May, 76, of Doniphan, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan.
Mrs. May, daughter of James and Joesphine Pearl (Davidson) McGetchiee, was born August 10, 1939, in New Brunswick, Canada. She had been a waitress and enjoyed crafting, hunting and fishing, especially crappie. Mrs. May was a member of Eastern Star and the Briar Missionary Baptist Church.
On April 9, 1966, she was married to Bearl May in Tuscumbia, Missouri, and he survives.
Also surviving are one son, Bearl Dewayne (and Glenda Faye) May of St. Roberts, Missouri; 1 sister, Doris Kenny of New Brunswick, Canada; 3 half-sisters, Kathy Leroux and Edna of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and Marjorie Stuckey of Indiana; 1 brother, James Ronald McGetchiee of Ottawa , Ontario, Canada; 3 grandchildren, Melissa May, Damon May and Matthew May; 3 great-grandchildren, Genesis, Dewayne Michael and River; 1 great-great grandchild, Aralee; and her extended family, Bill and Sandra Loges, and Albert and Mary Gallion and their daughters, Bailee and Bridget..
She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 grandson, Rusty Dewayne May.
A memorial service is planned for a later date.
