Obituary of Nancy Jane Goans

Nancy Jane Goans, 72, of Doniphan, Missouri, departed this life Thursday, December 3, 2015, at Regional One Health in Memphis, Tennessee.
Mrs. Goans, daughter of the late Esco and Vera (Carr) Loyd, was born November 18, 1943, in Pocatella, Idaho. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening (especially flower beds), quilting, painting and being with her family. Mrs. Goans was active at the Doniphan Nutrition Center and attended Pocahontas First Freewill Baptist Church in Pocahontas, Arkansas.
On March 30, 1961, she was married to Robert Hershel Goans in Willow Springs, Missouri, and he preceded her in death on February 3, 2013.
Surviving are two sons; Hershel (Julie) Goans of Doniphan and Andy Goans of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; one daughter, Debra Williams of Doniphan; one sister, Vicky Cockrum; three brothers, Richard Loyd, Leland Loyd and Bob Loyd; ten grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015, from 2 – 4 p.m.at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Nelson Henderson officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Doniphan Nutrition Center.
