Bernie Leo Hopkins, 76, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Southeast Health Center of Ripley County. Mr. Hopkins was born August 7, 1939, to Dewey & Ruby (Sprouse) Hopkins in McDougal, Arkansas. He was a member of West Point Pentecostal Church and was a veteran in the U.S. Navy having served during the Korean War. Mr. Hopkins enjoyed spending time with family and traveling; he was a self-employed contractor. On October 15, 1960, he married Frances Diana Mullins in Rockford, Illinois, and she survives. Also surviving are six children; Pam (Frank) Robles of Thayer, Arkansas, Tammy (Wesley) Norris of Clinton Arkansas, Terald Hopkins (Tammy) Hopkins of Tampa, Florida, Tim Hopkins, Tracy Hopkins, & Tom (Jen) Hopkins all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister, Arvella McKinney of Corning, Arkansas; two brothers, Eugene and Leroy Hopkins both of Corning, Arkansas; his mother, Ruby Hopkins, 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; and a host of friends to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Talina Hopkins. Visitation will be from 5-8 Monday October 19, 2015, at West Point Pentecostal Church in Doniphan. Funeral services will be at 10 AM Tuesday, October 20, at West Point Pentecostal Church in Doniphan with Bro. Carr officiating. Burial will be in Hunt-White Cemetery.
