John F. Dusza, 71 year old resident of Oxly, Missouri, departed this life October 10, 2015, at his residence.
Mr. Dusza was born September 22, 1944, in Doniphan, Missouri, to the late John and Mary (Kovach) Dusza. John was a farmer and mechanic, and had worked for the City of Doniphan for 19 years. While working for the City, he had obtained his Waste Water Inspector license. John loved working on tractors, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. It was said there was nothing he couldn’t fix. John was an instrumental member of the Oxly Volunteer Fire Department, board member of Water District #2 and former Road Commissioner for the Oxly road district.
On June 14, 1968, in Doniphan, he was married to Barbara Johnson, who survives.
Also surviving are 1 daughter, Lindsay Turner and her husband Jerry of
Doniphan; 1 grandson, Tyler Turner of Doniphan; and 1 sister, Lena Rowe of Paragould, Arkansas.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 1 brother, Bill Dusza.
Visitation for Mr. Dusza will be held from 5-7 PM, Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. A memorial service will be held at 7 PM Tuesday evening in the funeral home chapel with
Gary Emmons officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Oxly Volunteer Fire Department.
