Lily Penrod
Lily Penrod, 96, a resident of the Current River Nursing Center, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at the Ripley County Memorial Hospital.
Ms. Penrod was born January 5, 1911.
She retired from the St. Louis Boy Scouts Association. Ms. Penrod enjoyed her children and grandchildren, swimming and gardening. She was a member of the Centerhill Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Penrod of Fairdealing; two daughters, Anna Mae Baker and Eileen Crawley; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one sister, Dorothy Gibson of California.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 8, 2007, from 5 - 8 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, March 9, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Brother Kent Wilfong officiating. Burial will follow at the Towles Cemetery.
