David Benton Scrivner, 45, of Ripley County died Saturday, February 24, 2007, due to an automobile accident in Butler County. Mr. Scrivner was born July 13, 1961, in Cheyenne, Wyo. He was involved in the Boy Scouts in his youth and was a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed collecting coins, shot glasses, antique boxes and stamps. He was formerly married to Rhonda Motley and Judy Fay Murphey. Survivors include three sons, David Benton Scrivner, Trent Benton Scrivner and Colt Ray Scrivner, Sr., all of Doniphan; one daughter, Tabitha LeShay Scrivner of Doniphan; one stepdaughter, Angela Motley of Jefferson City, one sister, Theresa Marena Whaley and husband, Joe, of Doniphan; four brothers, Kevin Hendrix and wife, Linda and Timothy Hendrix, all of Doniphan, Danny Richardson of Pocahontas, Ark., and Steven Richardson of Park Hills; his mother, Marena Hendrix and friend, Eugene Harrison, of Doniphan; and one grandson, Colton Ray Scrivner, Jr. of Cooter. His father, Bob Hendrix, preceded him in death. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Monday, February 26, 2007, at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at the funeral home with Brother Wade Rogers officiating. Burial will be at Amity Cemetery.
