Mary Estelle Drysdale, 81, life-long resident of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, July 1, 2011, at her residence in Doniphan.
Mrs. Drysdale, daughter of the late Cloyd and Naomi (Pratt) Johnson, was born April 20, 1930, in St. Louis. She was a certified nursing assistant. Mrs. Drysdale was a member of the Doniphan Church of God and she enjoyed painting, gardening, reading and traveling.
On January 7, 1950, she married Samuel Harrison Drysdale in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2003.
Mrs. Drysdale is survived by daughters; Georgia Drysdale of Springfield, Missouri, Mary Meier of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Sandy Roberts of Springfield, Missouri, Nita Weber of Springfield, Missouri, and Anna Davis of Doniphan, Missouri; sons, Stephen Drysdale and Charles Drysdale, both of Harviell, Missouri, and Sam Drysdale of Springfield, Missouri; two sisters, Ruthie Reynolds of Fairdealing, Missouri, and Elizabeth Carnett of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother, Bill Johnson of California; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Drysdale was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Barbara Joe Drysdale, one brother, Frank Johnson, and one sister, Lela Ford.
Visitation will begin Sunday, July 3, 2011, from noon till 2 pm with the Funeral being Sunday July 3, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev. Larry Earl officiating. Private Burial Services will be in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery.
