Ruth Ann Cox, 71, of Oxly, Missouri, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Mrs. Cox, daughter of Wayne Cecil and Cleta (Moulton) Stoneburner, was born October 2, 1939. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Cox enjoyed reading, cooking, shopping, collecting nick nacks and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was previously married to Percy Runion who preceded her in death on September 19, 1979. In 1980 she was married to Crawford Cox at Fairdealing, Missouri. She is survived by her husband, Crawford, and four daughters; Rita Trumbly and husband, Jon, of Hominy, Oklahoma, Melissa DeWitt and husband, Jerry, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Barbara Tuggle and husband, Dave, of Dickson, Tennessee, and Laura Lama and husband, Phurba, of Franklin, Tennessee; one son, Justin Cox of Fairdealing, Missouri; one step-son, Tony Cox and wife, Jan, of Doniphan, Missouri; one sister, Norma Sue Fling and husband, Gary, of Shawnee, Kansas; and her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, along with a sister, Mary Madsen; two step-sons, Benji Cox and Darrell Cox; one granddaughter, Teton French; one great-grandson, Darrell Gene; and her best friend, Melva Rhoads. Visitation will be Thursday morning, December 16, 2010, from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Wilford Bonnell officiating. Burial will be in the Arnold Cemetery in Oxly.
