James Callaway "Cal" Wilder, 70, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, December 3, 2010, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Mr. Wilder was born on September 14, 1940, in Ponder, Missouri, to the late Thomas Elcaney and Carrie Bell (Ethridge) Wilder. Mr. Wilder was owner/operator of Cal's Small Engine Shop. He enjoyed bowling, stock car racing and truck pulls. Surviving are two sons; Thomas Wilder and James Wilder Jr., both of Doniphan; three daughters, Louise Ceballos of Catoosa, Oklahoma, Faye Randell of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Dawn Baty of Alton, Missouri; two sisters, Pearl Hagen of Doniphan and Faye Wallace of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother Lonie Wilder of Collinsville, Oklahoma; two step-daughters Andrea Johnson of Naylor, Missouri, and Danielle LaPorte of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; and long-time special friend, Angie Crawford. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carrie Sue Wilder, and several brothers and sisters. Visitation will begin Monday evening, December 6, 2010, from 5-8 pm at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 7, 2010, at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel at 1 PM, with Brother Eric Leroux and Brother Robbie Hale officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.
