Bonnie Joyce Hastings, 67 year old resident of Ripley County, died at her residence in Doniphan, Missouri on Friday, October 29, 2010.
Ms. Hastings was born September 17, 1943, in Doniphan, Missouri, to Ishmael and Hilda (Magruder) Martin.
For several years she was a beautician in Doniphan at Style Beauty Shop. She was also a member of the Doniphan - Ripley County Library Book Club and Friends of the Library. She loved reading, sewing, and making crafts.
Survivors include her mother, Hilda Martin of Doniphan; two children, Nancy Yates and her husband, Billy, of White House, Tennessee, and Lorna Hutcheson and her husband, Lafe, of Bridgeport, West Virginia; five grandchildren, Cody Hutcheson, Cordell Hutcheson, Michaela Hutcheson, and Mackenzie Hutcheson all of Bridgeport, West Virginia, and Grayson Yates of White House, Tennessee.
Ms. Hastings was preceded in death by her father, Ishmael Martin, and one granddaughter, Ashlee Rae Hutcheson.
Visitation will be 11:00 am, Monday, November 1, 2010, at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. Funeral Services will follow immediately at 1:00 pm, at Edwards Funeral Home with Minister Steve Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at the Poynor Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ripley County Library.
