Gus Kernodle, 84 year old resident of St. Louis, Missouri, died Tuesday, October 5, 2010.
Mr. Kernodle was born November 27, 1925, in Ponder, Missouri, to the late James Bedford and Ida Ellen King Kernodle. He had previously served in the U. S. Army and was retired from McCababe Powers.
On November 23, 1969, at Johnston Chapel, Mr. Kernodle was married to Dorothy M. Lichty. She preceded him in death July 5, 2009.
Surviving are one sister, Geraldine Kernodle, of Doniphan; two brothers, Jack Kernodle of Gatewood, Missouri, and Dempsey Kernodle of Dearborn, Michigan; special friends, Dorothy and Jim Vester of St. Louis, and Keith Sohn of St. Louis.
Funeral services for Mr. Kernodle will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 8, 2010, at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Doniphan with Brother Bill McClintock officiating. Burial will follow in the Tucker Cemetery.
Visitation will begin prior to the funeral service at 12:00 P.M.
